These are the instructions from the professor:
choose a “religious space/building” in the Old City of Jerusalem and write a paper that describes the religious significance of one of the following buildings listed below. The description of the building in your paper should explain how the significance of that religious space is experienced as both kinetic and interrelated (see Tweed). The paper should have three parts: 1) a description of the religious space/building (i.e. physical location, architecture, decoration, etc., 2) a description of at least two primary sources that describe the space (what do the primary sources contribute to our understanding of the significance of the space?), and 3) an explanation of how its significance derives in part from its historical development and its spatial relationship with other spaces in the city of Jerusalem
MUST HAVE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SOURCES — ONLY PEER-REVIEWED ARTICLES/BOOKS OR ORIGINAL RELIGIOUS MATERIAL
The spacial historical significance of the Dome of the Rock and how it relates to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
